Today, Ramat Gan is proud to be home of the largest Diamond Exchange in the world. The Israeli Diamond Exchange District was established by Moshe Schnitzer in the mid 1960s and turned Israel into the world's largest exporter of diamond. Israel's tallest skyscraper can be found in the Diamond Exchange District. Housed in the Diamond Exchange is the Harry Oppenheim Diamond Museum with an interesting permanent collection which is supplemented from time to time with valuable items. The museum is a visual information center presenting the many aspects of the industry.

Museum of Israeli Art In Ramat Gan:
The Museum of Israeli Art in Ramat gan is the only museum in Israel exclusively dedicated to Israeli art. The Museum aims to promote contemporary Israeli art by exhibiting it with works by Israeli Artists that have become part of Israel's heritage.
Ramat Gan Maria and Micahel Zetlin Museum of Russian Art :
From the early 20th century includes about 80 paintings, water colors and drawing by some famous Russian artists like V.Serov, L.Bakst, A.Benois, N.Goncharova, M.Larionov, D.Stellezki and others. Michael Zetlin was the grandson of Zeev Wissotzky, founder of the Wissotzky Tea Company.
The Yehiel Nahari Museum of Far Eastern Art is the only Museum in Israel devoted to the arts and crafts of the Far East. The collection contains objects from almost every country in the Far East ranging from the 13th to 20th century. It contains Buddhist shrines and statues from a number of countries, ceramic, prints and paintings and carvings in ivory, bamboo, wood and stone.
Ramat Gan Abraham Krinizi:
The Ramat Gan Abraham Krinizi was the first Mayor of Ramat Gan and he left his home to the municipality who in turn made it into a museum. In the museum there is an exhibition presenting the history of Ramat Gan interwoven with life story of Abraham Krinizi.
Man and the Living World Museum in Ramat Gan is located in the heart of the National Park and features a variety of natural history exhibits.

Bar Ilan University, Shenkar College for Fashion and Textile Technology, Beit Zvi School for the Performing Arts are just a few of the academic institutions based in Ramat Gan.
Ramat Gan Sports:
The 50,000 seat National Stadium is considered one of the largest and most comfortable in the Middle East and is the venue for many sport events and concerts. Ramat Gan is a pioneer in paraplegic sports and its Sports Center for the disabled train some 2,000 physically disabled people, the majority of whom are children and youth. The Sports Center has produced many Olympic champions in paraplegic sports. Ramat Gan is home to the Kfar HaMaccabia Sports Village where the Maccabia Games, the Jewish Olympics, are held every 4 years. The Maccabia Museum can be found at the Sports Village. The Museum documents the history of Jewish sports from 1898 onwards as well as the history of the Maccabia movement and the Maccabia Games.
Ramat Gan Safari – Zoological Center occupies 250 acres and includes 1,600 animals of different species, 68 species of mammals, 130 species of fowl and 25 species of reptiles. The Safari is the largest animal collection in the Middle East and is unique because of the large herds of mixed species of African animals that roam the Safari Park. The zoo contains a variety of animals from around the world. Outstanding are its breeding herds of both African and Asian elephants, the gorilla and orangutan families, hippos and lions. Many of the animals roam around freely. The Safari participates in a number of international programs for endangered species.
The Ramat Gan National Park stretches over an area of 500 acres of lawns and groves surrounding an artificial lake. Within the Park is the Kfar Hamaccabia Sports club offering 5 swimming pools (2 are covered), jacuzzi, saunas, tennis and squash courts, and much more.
Leisure and Shopping in Ramat Gan:
There are a number of shopping malls in Ramat Gan and Bialik Street is popular for arts and crafts, clothes, gifts, jewelry and much more.
Ramat Gan offers theaters and movie theaters and there are numerous restaurants. Although not on situated on the coast, Tel Aviv is just a 15 minute drive away.
