Tel Aviv - Israel’s “City That Never Sleeps”

Welcome to Tel Aviv- the first modern Hebrew city and the arts, culture, commerce and high tech center of Israel. Founded in 1909 on sand dunes not far from the ancient port city of Jaffa, the designers of Tel Aviv created an innovative style answering the requirements of the populace and taming the Mediterranean climate.

Tel Aviv is known as the “White City”, a designation referring to its collection of buildings created in the International Style known as Bauhaus-the largest concentration of such buildings in the world. Around 4000 buildings were built in the city center in the 1930’s by Jewish architects who emigrated from Europe to the British Mandate of Palestine, now Israel. UNESCO designated the unique cityscape of Tel Aviv-Jaffa as a World Heritage Site in 2003.

Today Tel Aviv is a city on the go offering options and choices for everyone. Soak up the sun on the wide golden beaches, give your senses a treat at the exotic markets, and shop at exclusive shopping centers. Tel Aviv changes character at night and the serious young executives, high tech innovators, and career women come out to party.  Head out to the theater, concerts and night clubs and pubs. The old port of Tel Aviv has been recreated as shopping, dining and café area now a favorite spot for the locals. Stroll along the boardwalk with its unique undulating design. Marvel at the view as the sun sinks into the Mediterranean Sea while sippingIsrael’s famous lattes or Israel’s prize-winning wines.
